And the winner is...

The votes are in, and our friend Ann Chapin is the deserving winner of the Barth poetry contest! In second place was David Wright’s beautiful poem on Barth and Bonhoeffer.

Your poem, Ben, was also a work of art, but you're right about Ann and David's. In fact, all the entries were very fine, except mine, which was sheer doggerel and lowered the aesthetic tone of an otherwise worthy competition (and thanks to David for it).

Mind, if conspiracy theorists are right and you and I are the same person, then surely our votes should have been added together and "we" should have won! :)

Ann's poem is wonderful. I will reserve comment on Sr. Fabricius'....:)
David's is fine, but a bit too Ezra Pound for my pop ears.
Congrats to all. I'm increasingly persuaded by the voices here who distrust non aesthetic voices.
