JesusPets

“If Jesus returns tonight, who will feed your pets tomorrow?” I’ve always wondered about that. So I was relieved to hear about JesusPets, an organisation which is “assembling a community of heathen pet-lovers to care for pets that are left behind” at the rapture. Now we can really fly away with an easy mind!

Meanwhile, though, let’s just hope and pray that these heathen pet-lovers don’t get born again – otherwise, little Poochie could be in serious trouble when the glorious day arrives....

Excuse my ignorance about rapture theology, but are pets excluded from the rapture??

This exciting business venture could lead to all kinds of other lucrative services for raptured folk:

* Someone to water your lawn and trim the hedges
* Someone to answer your mail
* Someone to drive your children to school (assuming some of the kids will be left behind)
* Someone to record your favorite TV shows on the VCR

The possibilities are endless! Even so, come Lord Jesus!

You could always put these pagan pet lovers on your rapture letters email list. To be super-considerate, be sure to have an email sent to all the heathen family and friends you have--just in case your disappearance is actually noticed by anyone outside the church. Check out raptureletters dot com.

I just want to know how this didn't make it onto the 'worst theologian invention' list? I think I feel sick.

It's not a problem: I fully expect to have my cat Thelma raptured with me - with her flea collar "left behind".

Good for you Kim. But I hate cats and so heaven would not be heaven if Thelma was there. Conversely, heaven might mean for me such transformation that includes a love for cats ... maybe even for Thelma. And what about dogs and other wonderful creatures who dislike cats? Perhaps a photo of the beloved fluffy might help to prepare me for heaven. I could perhaps add it to my 'great cloud of witnesses' photoboard that adorns my study wall.

Hi Jason,

Hey, given Isaiah 11:6ff., I would have thought dogs and cats will be an easy zoological feat! And you'll love Thelma - she's a sweetheart - and she's already converted three cat-haters!

If my dogs weren't in heaven when I got there, heaven would not be heaven for me. Just to think that because these affectionate and helpful creatures were not human, that they don't deserve the same eternal bliss that humans will enjoy sounds less than what a loving God would do for all his creatures.

Ben,
Mind telling us how you came across this site? I doubt you were just minding your own business when all of a sudden _____.

Kim, your cat Thelma can certainly be raptured with you - as long as she accepts Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior, supports Zionism in the Middle East, votes Republican, and resists the power of Antichrist.
