An icon for Pentecost

My friend Ann Chapin, who often contributes to our discussions here at F&T, kindly sent me some photos of her huge and wonderfully vivid icons. Here is her Pentecost tryptych, entitled “The Descent of the Holy Spirit” (each of the three murals is about ten feet tall):

All I can really say about my mother's art is that it's Divinely inspired. I've been blessed to have a few of her pieces, and I cannot tell you what a wonderful priveledge it is to actually see art that opens up one's depths into the spirit. There's a noetic quality to all of her work. I sincerely hope you all enjoy it.
