Easter: the one true day

“Can there be any day but this,
Though many suns to shine endeavour?
We count three hundred, but we miss:
There is but one, and that one ever.”

—George Herbert, “Easter” (1633)

I was recently re-reading this poem and was struck by these lines. Excellent - the sun has never set upon that/this day.
