Kim Fabricius in Princeton

Contrary to popular belief and nefarious rumour, Kim Fabricius is not an alter ego or pseudonym of Ben Myers. Even I myself have occasionally doubted this – but we now have photographic evidence! Here’s Kim and me hanging out in Princeton:

And here he is expounding a few propositions…

... while some Princeton bloggers listen, and my daughter has a good laugh:

It's delightful to have the humanizing effect of your pictures! What a lovely gathering.

And please tell Kim I am a devoted Dodgers fan:)

Also, could you ask Kim if the Guinness in bottles really truly tastes worse than the stuff out of the tap in the UK?

If you can find it out east, might I suggest Rogue Ale IPA or Stone Brewing's "Arrogant Bastard Ale".

I am on a mission to both celebrate the privilege of peeking in on the theologizing at F&T and clearing the name of American Beers.

That's so funny--not having met Kim, I honestly have long wondered whether he represented your pseudonym (sorry Kim!)!

Hope you're enjoying Princeton; autumn is a beautiful season to enjoy the campus.

Ben,
Glad to see that you're enjoying Princeton and meeting the famous Kim Fabricius in person. Hope it goes well.

Good to see the old man flying the Oxford flag out there! I hope you guys have a great time. (Ben, could you remind him about my request for candy corn? :D )

Great pics Ben. Does the famous David Congden also exist in Princeton?

Thanks for hosting Ben. I had a lot of fun, and it sure was a pleasure to meet Kim. What a gracious and humble guy! We'll have to have our next reunion with him in Swansea. :-)

Yes, I do indeed exist! You can see me in the third and final picture. I am sitting on the couch in the very middle of the picture, with Chris TerryNelson on the right (my left) and Ben on the left (my right).

It's a not a very flattering picture. But after two beers and a scotch on the rocks, what can you expect? :)

Thanks again for the drinks, Ben!

Notice that Ben and Kim are on opposite sides of the image and the shadows don't quite line up. Still, amazing what you can do in Photoshop...

David,

Technically, I'm the guy on your right. Ben is in the foreground...

Sounds like it was a post-modern U.S. tempered version of an Inklings gathering!

I wish I could have come with my guitar and my Waits, Dylan and Cobain songbooks.

I'm still not convinced. As others have said, you can do wonders with photoshop these days.

Yes, unless we put our hands around the sides of Ben and Kim, we will not believe. Blessed are those who believe having only seen a photo.
