But what really shines for me is your love of your children and your consciousness of their souls. In fact, I was so moved by this it seems to have cast a circus spell on me. I dreamed of bright colors, furry blankets and rugs that became talking animals, smiling new friends in costumes. This an unusual dream for me, as talking animals in past dreams frightened me.

I've tended to see circus and clowns a bit scary (especially after reading S. King's "It") and faced that fear anew reading your piece. I looked anew at circus as great theology, metaphor, and yes, your love of your kids ; ) Thanks and peace!Sharonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261952.post-13507991894919406702011-09-22T01:48:54.744-04:002011-09-22T01:48:54.744-04:00Outstanding! Thank you. I recently wrote an essay on a very circus-like performer and artist who for me is a parable of the kingdom. She is precisely an "eschatological parable and social parody: [she] signals a transcendence of the power of death, which exposes this world as it truly is while it pioneers the Kingdom." http://gagajournal.blogspot.com/2011/09/religion-against-itself-lady-gaga-god.htmlPeter Klinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14261952.post-81859903755911338212011-09-18T16:17:11.598-04:002011-09-18T16:17:11.598-04:00A wonder-ful post Ben!
