Spot the odd one out

One of the perks of blogging is that I get a commission when people buy anything from Amazon after following a link from F&T. (All proceeds go towards – you guessed it – theology books.) Yesterday I glanced at my Amazon report to see what people had purchased over the past 24 hours. It's often fascinating to see the kinds of things theologians are into:
I know, I had exactly the same reaction: Wtf? Twilight?!

  1. What does "wtf" mean?

    "What's that, friend"?
    "Who's their father"?
    "Wonder to 'finity"?
    "What total foolhardiness"?

I know it can't be what everyone else uses it for, because this is a blog belonging to a Christian theologian! :)

  3. Yeah, I was shocked at the David Bentley Hart purchase as well.

  4. It was actually a gift purchase from Jim West to me. He was trying to encourage me to save myself for marriage. I don't think he's aware it is a Mormon vampire book.

  6. so, if I am going to buy a book on Azon should I have you put a link first so you can get credit? Also, i have a passle of granddaughters and nieces who are transfixed by 'Twilight.' I have been discussing it with them (to rolled eyeballs and heavy sighs, interrupted by tweets and twitters), and my flimsy Marxist analysis and allusions to the 'Antichrist' and in general old-fartism are having little effect. it doesn't help that Forks (where parts were filmed) is only a ferry ride away. I could use some advice from youall. obliged, bloodless on Whidbey

  7. That's really awesome. Someone is trying to figure out how to administer drip tests to apocalyptically interested vampires.
