Early this morning, there was a new arrival in my family: a good-humoured, handsome, inquisitive and (needless to say) quite brilliant little chap named James Daniel Myers. So if posts here at
F&T are a little less regular than usual, you’ll know why!
Wonderful! God bless, Ben.

ReplyDelete"And rockabye sweet baby James!"
ReplyDeletecongratulations Ben....I can imagine you reading Church Dogmatics to him in preparation for kindergarten...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! If you had held out for a few more hours he and I would share a birthday. Still, all the best people were born in August!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, your wife, and your baby!
Splendid news - joy and peace to you all!
ReplyDelete:) congratulations Meyers, one and all!
ReplyDeleteMazel Tov! Many happy returns! Don't let the joking about "Church Dogmatics in prep for Kindegarten" get to you. When my eldest (now 12), Molly, was born, I found that the only way I got any serious reading done was to read theology books to her in the same voice as I would read "The Cat in the Hat." So, she and I got through Moltmann's "The Way of Jesus Christ," that way. I also practiced my Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, and German, by reading passages of Scripture in those languages to Molly as I changed her diapers. She now learns languages easily and wants to become a translator for the United Nations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Ben. It seems to be the summer of babies!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! A future blogger no doubt! Congrats!
ReplyDelete¡Enhorabuena, hermano! (Congrats!)

Congratulations, Ben and the Myers family!
ReplyDeleteAwesome news. Rejoicing with you and yours.
ReplyDeleteSince Ben's children seem to provide all his key theological insights, can we expect more theology of silence and via negativa from this newest influence? Or perhaps some articulate reflections upon the 'groans that words cannot express'?
ReplyDeleteEither way, peace and joy be upon you all!
Many thanks to all of you for your good wishes. He's a gorgeous little boy, and we're enjoying his company immensely. My five-year-old daughter summed it up best: "Oh Dad, he's the most beautiful baby boy we've ever had!"
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Ben! This is wonderful news. I look forward to meeting the rest of the family if it works out for you to visit Princeton again. All the best to you and your wife.
ReplyDeleteWell done Elise and congratulations Ben. Looking forward to meeting your new little man.
